In the context of modern industrialization, the construction of large-scale warehouses in industrial parks requires strict control of schedule and technical quality. For the Warehouse No. 3 project at Texhong Industrial Park, Quang Ninh Province, SVG Engineering is proud to undertake the role of supervision consultant, ensuring that every detail—from foundations to steel structures and enclosure walls—meets the required standards.
CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION FOR WAREHOUSE NO. 3 IN TEXHONG INDUSTRIAL PARK IN VIETNAM
- Investor: Texhong Vietnam Industrial Park Co., Ltd.
- Address: Hai Ha Texhong Industrial Park - Quang Ninh province - Viet Nam
- Construction Project: Ngan Ha Texhong Project
- Supervision Unit: Sao Viet Construction Design Consulting and Inspection Joint stock Company (SVG Engineering)
- Year of implementation: 2024 - 2025
CONTENTS OF CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION FOR WAREHOUSE NO. 3 IN TEXHONG INDUSTRIAL PARK IN VIETNAM
1. Supervision of Reinforced Concrete (RC) Works
a. Control of reinforcement and formwork
The SVG Engineering team inspects the type, diameter, and spacing of reinforcement in strict accordance with the design drawings. Lap splice locations and concrete spacers are carefully checked to ensure adequate concrete cover, preventing corrosion in the industrial environment.
Ensure tightness to prevent loss of cement slurry during concrete casting. The supporting scaffolding system is checked for load-bearing capacity to avoid deformation under the dynamic loads of fresh concrete.
b. Concrete casting and curing works
- SVG Engineering directly supervises on-site slump testing and sampling procedures.
- The vibration process is strictly controlled to ensure dense and homogeneous concrete, avoiding honeycombing at column bases and beam–column joints.
- Curing: After formwork removal, proper curing measures such as water spraying or covering with plastic sheets are strictly implemented to prevent cracking due to thermal and shrinkage effects.
2. Supervision of Steel Structure Erection
The Texhong warehouse utilizes a pre-engineered steel frame system to optimize space and construction time. This stage requires extremely high accuracy in terms of elevation and coordinates.
a. Inspection of structural components on site
Before lifting and erection, SVG Engineering’s engineers inspect:
-
Quality of anti-corrosion coating and finish paint;
-
Deformation of members (rafters, purlins) during transportation;
-
Quantity and strength/grade of connection bolts.
b. Lifting, erection, and alignment procedures
- Safety first: Strict supervision of crane operating zones, lifting equipment (including manlifts / aerial work platforms) and workers’ safety harnesses for work at height.
- Verticality and alignment: Use of theodolite and leveling instruments to control the verticality of steel columns and the elevation of rafters.
- Bracing system: Ensure that roof bracing and column bracing are installed immediately after frame erection to form a stable spatial structural system, preventing progressive collapse due to wind loads.
3. Supervision of Partition Walls and Enclosure Walls Construction
a. Masonry techniques and wall stiffening
As observed at the Texhong site, brick wall panels are subdivided by stiffening columns and reinforced concrete (RC) tie beams:
-
Horizontal tie beams:
At specified height intervals (typically 2–2.5 m), RC tie beams are cast to enhance wall stiffness.
-
Column–wall connections:
Starter bars / wall ties are used to ensure proper bonding between concrete columns (or steel columns) and masonry walls, preventing vertical cracking at interfaces.
b. Material quality control
4. Occupational Safety and Environmental Hygiene
SVG Engineering not only supervises technical aspects but also places safety as the top priority:
-
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
100% of staff and workers are equipped with reflective vests, safety helmets, and safety footwear;
-
Equipment management:
Excavators (e.g., Volvo), cranes, and scaffolding systems are all duly inspected and certified;
-
Site housekeeping:
Construction waste, scrap steel, and debris are collected after each shift to maintain a clean and unobstructed worksite.
5. Role of SVG Engineering as Supervision Consultant at Texhong Site
The company consistently places clients’ interests at the forefront and is committed to delivering absolute confidence and assurance to investors and business owners.
