Construction project acceptance is one of the most important activities during the construction process. It involves inspecting, evaluating quality, and verifying the extent to which each construction task, component, stage, or the entire project meets the specified requirements. Following the proper construction acceptance procedures helps the project owner control construction quality, minimize technical errors, and ensure that all necessary conditions are met before the facility is put into operation and use.
CONSTRUCTION PROJECT ACCEPTANCE PROCEDURES UNDER DECREE NO. 207/2026/ND-CP
Effective July 1, 2026, Government Decree No. 207/2026/ND-CP came into force, replacing Decree No. 06/2021/ND-CP on construction quality management, construction execution, and maintenance of construction works. Accordingly, project owners, construction contractors, construction supervision consultants, and other relevant parties need to stay up to date with the new regulations to ensure that acceptance procedures are properly organized for each type of construction project and stage of construction.

WHAT DOES CONSTRUCTION PROJECT ACCEPTANCE INCLUDE?
Pursuant to Article 57 of the Law on Construction No. 135/2025/QH15 and the implementing regulations under Decree No. 207/2026/ND-CP, construction project acceptance generally includes the following activities:

THE ROLE OF CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION CONSULTANTS IN THE ACCEPTANCE PROCESS
-
Construction supervision consultants play an important role in controlling construction quality and assisting the project owner in carrying out acceptance procedures in accordance with applicable regulations. Their responsibilities include checking the compliance of materials, equipment, and construction methods; monitoring test results; inspecting actual construction quality; and verifying compliance with the design documents and applicable standards.
-
In addition, construction supervision consultants coordinate with contractors to inspect completed work before proceeding to the next construction stage, prepare and review acceptance documentation, record technical deficiencies, and monitor corrective actions. Close supervision helps identify errors at an early stage, minimize repair costs, and reduce the risk of project delays.
-
Construction project acceptance procedures provide an essential basis for verifying quality, controlling safety, and ensuring that construction works meet the required conditions before being put into operation and use. Compliance with the Law on Construction No. 135/2025/QH15 and Decree No. 207/2026/ND-CP helps project owners, contractors, and consulting firms coordinate effectively at every stage of a project.
