CONTENTS OF CONSTRUCTION QUALITY INSPECTION FOR QUANG THANH SECONDARY SCHOOL, HAI PHONG CITY, VIETNAM
The scope, volume of work, and deliverables of the Consulting Contractor shall include the following main tasks:
1. Preparation
- Conduct a preliminary survey of the project; collect, investigate, and analyze information and documents related to the surveyed project.
2. Conduct Site Survey and Quality Inspection of the Existing Structure
- Carry out as-built measurements of the existing structure and determine the structural layout of the building.
- Conduct a detailed survey of the existing condition of the structure, including the foundation system, columns, beams, slabs, and enclosure wall structures, etc.
- Inspect, photograph, and record any defects and damage, if any.
- Conduct tests to determine the compressive strength of concrete using a combination of an ultrasonic testing device and a rebound hammer; test masonry brick samples using the compressive strength testing method; inspect the diameter of reinforcing steel bars embedded in reinforced concrete (RC) structural members on site; and check the thickness of the concrete cover protecting the reinforcement for one RC beam or one RC column.
3. Analysis and Assessment
- Based on the collected documents and survey data, conduct analysis and assessment of the existing quality of the structure. The assessment shall be classified into four levels: A, B, C, and D.
4. Preparation of the Report on the Results of the Existing Structure Quality Inspection
